Password Assistance
When admitted to UW-Platteville, students receive a login and temporary password for access to e-mail, PeopleSoft and Desire2Learn. Students must reset this password the first time they log on to PeopleSoft. Each password expires after 90 days and students do NOT receive warning, so keep track and reset the password close to the end of the 90-day period. If a password expires, students must ask a UWP faculty member to request a “password reset” from the UWP HelpDesk.
Transcripts
At the end of each Spring semester, students need to request an official transcript be sent to UWP from any other college (UW-Rock County, UW-Whitewater, etc.) where they have been enrolled during the past academic year. Transcripts can be requested in person or in writing from the UW-Colleges or through the Registrar’s Office of another campus.
Adding/Dropping Courses
Reference the UWP Registrar’s Office Drop/Add website for information on deadlines and fees. You’ll also need this form to drop a course you’ve started. Please note that not attending class does not constitute withdrawal from a course.
Withdrawal from the University
To be official, any withdrawal from the university must be cleared with the UWP Registrar’s Office, the student’s academic advisor, Financial Aid Office, Textbook Center, and the Cashier’s Office. If enrolled in courses through both UW-Rock and UWP, then you will need to complete withdrawal forms FOR BOTH schools. UWP withdrawal forms are available here, while UW-Rock withdrawal forms are available in Student Services. See the Collaborative Program Director if you need assistance.
Re-Entry
If you have not attended a UWP course for a full semester, then you must re-apply before you can register for classes again. If you have taken courses at another school during the time not enrolled with UWP, obtain official transcripts from that school to submit with the re-entry application.
